Vigilance Book Signing
Saturday, February 4th, 2023; 1pm
(Perkins Center for the Arts: 395 Kings Hwy, Moorestown, NJ)

Come meet Andrew K. Diemer, historian and author of the recently released book named Vigilance: The Life of William Still, Father of the Underground Railroad. This book focuses on the life of William Still, Dr. James Still's youngest brother, who was an abolitionist, activist, entrepreneur and philanthropist.  William dedicated his life to managing a critical section of the Underground Railroad in Philadelphia—the free state directly north of the Mason-Dixon Line—helping hundreds of people escape from slavery.

​​Finger Knitting Workshop
Sunday, February 19th, 2023; 1pm
(Annex Location: 211 Church Road, Medford, NJ)

Learn the skill of finger knitting to produce quick comfy blankets as gifts or for your favorite spot on the couch. This activity can become a relaxing past time with friends or family. No prior experience is required. This workshop is BYOY (Bring your own yarn). You can also purchase yarn at the workshop for an additional cost. Limited spaces are available. The Visitor Center will also be open from 11:30am-4pm.

The Salvation Army Presents - A Celebration of Black History

This is a free family fun evening with song, dance, speakers and a youth showcase. Come visit our table to learn more about the Still family.

Stockton University - Pineland Short Course
Saturday, March 11th, 2023; 9:00am-3:45pm
(Stockton University: 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ)

Offered annually by Stockton University, this day-long event features educations presentations that explore the unique history, ecology and culture of the Pinelands. Our executive director, Samuel Still will be one of the presenters speaking on the Still family legacy.

Join us at this an annual indoor gathering of artists, authors and artisans whose passion is the Pines. Over 80 talented Pine Barrens "Celebrities" will be on hand to sign their books, display their artwork or craft, play their music and in general, share their love of the Pine Barrens! This is event is free and open to the public.

​Mindfulness Sessions
Sunday, November 6th; 1pm
(Visitors Center Location: 210 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ)
Rain Alternate - Annex Location: 211 Church Road, Medford, NJ

For the remainder of 2022, we will host a mindfulness session at 1pm on the first Sunday of each month. Mindfulness sessions include sound baths, stretching, meditation and more. Stop by to refresh your mind and mentally prepare for the week ahead. Note the visitor center will also be open from 11:30am-4pm.

This is a free event. Feel free to bring a yoga mat and water. Please contact drjamesstillcenter@gmail.com with any inquiries.
